Doctors & Staff
Meet the experienced and friendly doctors and staff who make Capitol Eyes a proud provider of vision care products and services in Columbus.
Aaron Thomas, O.D.
Dr. Aaron Thomas grew up in the small town of Galesburg in western Illinois. While initially attending the University of Illinois pursuing a degree in education, he changed majors and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology. He then attended Nova Southeastern University in southern Florida with the naive expectation of frequenting its many sunny beaches. There, he graduated with a Doctorate in Optometry. Afterwards, Dr. Thomas practiced in southern Florida before he and his then fiancé moved to central Ohio where he continues to enjoy his career. He is happy to help people with any eye needs and conditions whether it’s routine vision or medical.
Besides prescribing glasses and fitting contacts, Dr. Thomas regularly manages a wide range of ocular conditions including glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, cataracts, red eyes, and more.
When not seeing patients, he is an active member of his local professional organization the Ohio Optometric Association. He also enjoys woodworking and yard projects, reading, and biking and hiking with his wife.
